Spring has Sprung "...It may not feel like it, but the calendar says
spring is here!
Again, let me begin by extending an open invitation to each of you to
attend our monthly meeting held at Engine #2 on the first Wednesday of
the month at 7:30 P.M.
On February 16, 2008 I had the pleasure of attending the 26th Annual
Hagerstown Fire Department Awards banquet. As in the past years, this
was another banquet to remember, as many awards went to member of Engine
#2.
Awards given to Engine #2 members were:
Award of excellence for recruitment and retention of firefighters was
presented to Engine #2.
Top volunteer firefighter award (plaque) was given to James L.
Sprecher Jr,. for his response to 254 calls in 2007.
Six certificates of commendation went to the following Engine #2 top
responders for 2007:

Special Note:
2008 is the 200th anniversary for Engine #2. With that in mind,
we are planning a special
Bicentennial banquet to be held on September 19, 2008, at the Elk's
Lodge #378, as follows:
Social Hour 5:00-6:00 Open Bar Dinner 6:00 -7:00
Awards 7:00 - 8:00 Video DJ 8:00 -12:00 DUK Entertainment
Cash Bar Rest of the evening Anyone having old pictures of the
Antietam Fire Co. Please let us know and we will display them at te
